Spring Flower Motiff

Materials: 1 ball Cotton yarn, Size 6 US needles.

Note: ssk: (Slip, slip, knit.) Slip the first and second stitches knitwise, one at a time, then insert the tip of left-hand needle into the fronts of these two stitches from the left, and knit them together from this position.

Directions:
Cast on 45 stitchess.

Border:
Row 1: K across.
Row 2: K4, YO, K2tog, K1. K to within 7 sts of end. K1, K2tog, YO, K4.
Row 3: K across.
Row 4: Rep Row 1.
Row 5. K across.
Row 6: Rep Row 1.
Rows 7 through 10: Stockinette stitch. (K 1 row, P 1 row.)

Do the 7-stitch border on each side of the pattern section.

Pattern section:
Rows 1 and 3 (Wrong side): Knit
Rows 2 and 4: Purl.
Rows 5 and 7: K14, P3, K14.
Row 6: P14, K3, P14.
Row 8: P6, P2 tog, P6, (K1, YO) twice, K1, P6, P2 tog, P6.
Row 9: K13, P5, K13.
Row 10: P6, P2 tog, P5, K2, YO, K1, YO, K2, P5, P2 tog, P6.
Row 11: K12, P7, K12.
Row 12: P6, P2 tog, P4, K3, YO, K1, YO, K3, P4, P2 tog, P6.
Row 13: K11, P9, K11.
Row 14: P6, P 2tog, P3, K4, YO, K1, YO, K4, P3, P2 tog, P6.
Row 15: K10, P11, K10.
Row 16: P6, P2 tog, P2, K5, YO, K1, YO, K5, P2, P2 tog, P6.
Row 17, 19, 21, 23, and 25: K9, P13, K9.

Stockinette stitch for 10 rows
Work 6 rows of border as in beginning.
Bind off.
