Cast on 49 stitches.

Row 5, 7, 9: Knit 8, *yarn forward, sl 5 purlwise, Knit 3 * Repeat between *'s across row and end last repeat Knit 4.
Row 6 (and all evens): Knit 3, Purl 43, Knit 3.
Row 11: Knit 10, * insert right needle up thru slip strands, knit next stitch and draw loop under strands, Knit 7 *. Repeat between *s across row and end last repeat Knit 6.
Rows 13, 15, 17: Knit 4, * yarn forward, slip 5 purlwise, Knit 3 *. Repeat between *s accross row and end Knit 5.
Row 19: Knit 6, * insert right needle up thru slip strandds, knit next stitch and draw loop under strands, Knit 7 *. Repeat between *s across row and end last repeat Knit 3.
Repeat Row 5 thru 20 four more times.
Finish by knitting 4 rows of garter stitch and bind off.
