Materials: One pair size US7/4.5mm straight knitting needles
One skein cotton worsted weight yarn.
Two ring markers
Difficulty: Easy
Directions:
Cast on 39 sts. The pattern is a multiple of 8+1
Work 3 rows of garter st. (knit every row). Work first 3 and last 3 sts. of every row in garter st. for the borders. These sts. are included in the cast on and the pattern.

Row 2: K3, slip marker, P1 *K1, P1*; repeat between *s. End slip marker, K3
Row 3: K3, slip marker, P33, slip marker, K3
Row 4: K3, slip marker, K33, slip marker, K3
Row 5: K3, slip marker, P33, slip marker, K3
Row 6: K3, slip marker, P1, *K7, P1*; repeat between *s. End slip marker, K3
Row 7: K3, slip marker, P33, slip marker, K3
Row 8: K3, slip marker, K33, slip marker, K3
Row 9: K3, slip marker, P33, slip marker, K3
Row 10: K3, slip marker, P1, *K7, P1*; repeat between *s. End slip marker, K3
Row 11: K3, slip marker, P33, slip marker, K3
Row 12: K3, slip marker, K33, slip marker, K3
Repeat these 12 rows three times more, then Rows 1-5 for a total of 53 rows.
Work 3 rows garter st.
Bind off and weave in all ends.
