Knit 4 Rows for border.
Rows 1 and 2: Knit;
Row 3: (RS) K3, P2, *K2, P2; repeat from * across to last 3 sts. K3.
Row 4: K5, * P2, K2; repeat from * to last 3 sts. K3.
Rows 5 and 6: Knit;
Row 7: K5, *P2, K2; repeat from * across to last 3 sts. K3.
Row 8: K3, P2, *K2, P2; repeat from * across to last 3 sts. K3.
Repeat these 8 rows until desired length;
Knit 4 rows for border, bind off. Weave in ends and enjoy.
