Lattice Twist Eyelet Cloth

Designer :Linda Smith The pattern stitch for this cloth was taken from The Harmony Guides, 440 more Knitting Stitches Pg. 62
Materials: 1 ball Cotton yarn, Size 4.5 mm needles.
Difficulty: Medium

Special Instructions:
C2B, C2F: (Cross 2 Back or Cross 2 Front) knit into the back ( or front) of second st on needle, then knit first st, slipping both sts off needle at the same time.

C3R: (Cable 3 Right) slip next 2 stitches on to cable needle and hold at back of work, knit next stitch from left hand needle, then knit stitches from cable needle.

Directions:
Cast on 43 stitches or Multiple of 8 stitches + 3 + number of stitches required for border. ( I used 8 stitches for the border, 4 on either side)

Work 4 rows seed stitch. Remember to keep the first 4 stitches in seed stitch for a border as they are not included in the pattern. (The border stitches are included in the cast on, but not in the pattern directions)

Row 1: (right side) K3, *k2tog, yf, k1, yf, sl 1, k1, psso, k3; rep from * to end.
Row 2 and each alternate row: Purl.
Row 3: K 2, C2F, k3, C2B, *K1, C2F, k3, C2B; rep from * to last 2 sts. K2.
Row 5: K1, C2F, k5, *C3R, k5; rep form * to last 3 sts, C2B, k1
Row 7: K2, yf, sl 1, k1, psso, k3, k2tog, yf, *k1, yf, sl1, k1, psso, k3, k2tog, yf: rep from * to last 2 sts, k2
Row 9: K3, *C2B, k1, C2F, k3; rep from * to end.
Row 11: K4, C3R, *k5, C3R; rep from * to last 4 sts, k4
Row 12: Purl

Repeat these 12 rows to desired lenght.
Work 4 more rows of seed stitch and bind off.
