Cast on 39 stitches. 4 rows garter stitch
Row 1: k3, (p3, k1, p1, k1,) 5 times, p3, k3.
Row 2: k6, (p1, k1, p1, k3,) 4 times, p1, k1, p1, k6.
Row 3: k3, (p3, k3,) 6 times
Row 4: k6 (p3, k3,) 4 times, p3, k6,
Row 5: k 3, p4, (k1, p5,) 4 times. K1, p4, k3.
Row 6: k7, (p1, k5,) 4 times. P1, k7,
Row 7: k3, p4, (k1, p5,) 4 times, k1, p4, k3.
Row 8: k6, (p3, k3,) 4 times, p3, k6
Row 9: k3, (p3, k3,) 6 times
Row 10: k6, (p1, k1, p1, k3,) 4 times, p1, k1, p1 k6
Repeat these 10 rows until desired length.
Work 4 rows garter stitch.
Cast off and weave in ends.
