Janelle's Star Coaster

Materials: worsted wt. yarn, crochet hook size G size is about 5" from point to point

Instructions:
Ch 3, join with sl st to form ring. Ch2 (counts as first hdc) work 9 hdc in ring.
Row 1: Ch 1 *2hdc-ch2-2hdc in next hdc; skip next hdc, repeat from * 4 more times, join with a sl st at top of first hdc.
Row 2: Ch1, turn; skip next hdc, *sc in next hdc, 2sc-ch2-2sc in next ch 2 space (point of star); sc in next hdc, skip 2 hdc; repeat from * around. Join with a sl st.
Row3: Ch 1, turn. Sk next sc, *hdc in each of next 2 sc, 2hdc-ch2-2hdc in point; hdc in next 2 sc, dkip next 2 sc, repeat from* around. Join with sl st to top of first hdc.
Row 4: Ch2, turn. Hdc in next 4 hdc, *2hdc-ch2-2hdc in point; hdc in next 8 hdc, repeat from* 3 more times. 2hdc-ch2-2hdc in point, hdc in next 3 hdc, join with sl st. Fasten off and weave in ends.

To make a star magnet; fasten off after working row 2 & Glue a magnetic strip to back.
