FPDC: (Front Post dc) : YO , insert hook from front to back to front around post of stitch indicated, yo, pull loop through and complete dc as usual.
BPDC: (Back Post dc) : YO , insert hook from back to front to back around post of st indicated, yo, pull loop through and complete dc as usual.
D-TRC: (Double Treble): YO hook 3 times, insert hook in st , YO, draw lp through 1 lp, [YO, draw through 2 lps on hook] 4 times.
Ch 5, join to form a ring
Rnd 1:
Ch 3(count as first dc, now and throughout), 11 dc in ring, join with sl st to beg ch-3 (12 dc).
Rnd 2:
Sl st between 2 dc, ch 3, (FPDC in next dc , dc in sp between the 2 dc, BPDC in next dc , dc in sp between the 2 dc) around, join on top of ch 3. (24 dc [12 regular dc, 6 Front post and 6 Back post])
Rnd 3:
Ch 3, 2 dc in each dc around, join. ( 48 dc).
Rnd 4:
Ch 1, sc in next dc, * ch 5, sk 3 dc, sc in dc, front of work, D-trc (YO 3 times) in FPDC 2 rows lower at the right, D-trc in FPDC 2 rows lower at the left, sc in same st as last sc, ch 5, sk 3 dc, sc in dc, back of work, D-trc in FPDC 2 rows lower at the right, D-trc in FPDC 2 rows lower at the left, sc in same st as ast sc ** repeat from * to ** around, join in beginning sc. ( 12 ch5 loops).
Rnd 5:
Ch 1, sc between 2 D-trc, * ch7, sc between 2 D-trc ** repeat from * to ** around, join in first sc.
Rnd 6:
Ch 6, trc in same st as joining, ch 2, * sc over ch5 and ch7 taken together, ch 2, (trc, ch2, trc) in sc, ch 2 ** repeat from * to ** around, join in 4th ch of beginning ch6.
Rnd 7:
Sl st in ch2 sp, ch3, dc in same space but at the right of first dc (X-stitch made), ch1, * x-stitch in each space, ch1 ** repeat from * to ** around, join.
Rnd 8:
Ch 1, sc between the 2 dc (inside the X), * ch3, dc in same space, sc between next 2 dc (inside X) ** repeat from * to ** around, join in first sc.
Finish off, weave in ends.
